My work is dedicated to give you quality, one of a kind and affordable jewelry to last. This business was made under pure drive for what I love to do and how it makes people feel to wear.
With my jewelry, I like to make it personal, meaning that I will give you the option to have it shortened or lengthened, color change, stones changed and etc. I also like to hear your ideas of what you may want to wear, I love feedback! Being different is my thing, so most of my designs are one of a kind!
Beads have been part of my life before I was born! My mom was a hippie chick and would bead everything or at least buy things that were beaded. Back then, what wasn’t beaded! LOL! When I was a little girl, I remember my mom doing braids in her hair and putting clear red pony beads at the ends. I was in awe! So she did mine and my sister’s hair as well. I can also remember the fringe on her brown leather jacket having beads too.
Years later at the age of 23, I became pregnant with my daughter. During my maternity leave from work, I had a lot of time on my hands. One day I came across a bead shop by the beach. It instantly brought on memories of my mom and sister when we were little, and I boy did I want to make something! The creative wheels started to turn! I started making many necklaces for my friends, mom and sister. They all said I should sell it and that I was pretty good at it. So here I am!
8 years later and I have my own little creative studio in the backyard! (I no longer have to share the other part of the garage with the husband’s power tools! Thankyou my supporting husband Knute for building the most beautiful studio ever!) We live here in San Diego, Ca. with our two little ones ages 9 and 10, a rambunctious black lab, a chameleon, a too smart chihuahua and two turtles. Our family loves the ocean and we all get out to the beach when we can and do some surfing. Usually I’m the one always at the beach. I love it so much I even work at Surf Diva as a surf instructor for fun just to be at the beach! LOL! With that said, you’ll find a lot of sea shells in my work, the ocean inspires me!
These are the things that make me happy and they are my inspirations for my creative work. -Art
